Snooze for Control

I click the snooze button maybe fourteen hundred times each morning.

Give or take.

I am probably still not getting quite enough sleep.

But I have a new theory about the snooze button.

In a life that can feel scheduled down to the tenth of a second,

it can sometimes feels like I’m running from task to task to task all the way from a to zed.

With too little time for leisurely walks and glances out the window and spontaneous interruptions,

maybe hitting snooze is my own little way of sneaking the unscheduled into my overly-planned days.

Or maybe…

…I just need to go to bed earlier :).

“making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:16
