Like a Wave that Builds.

Visiting Niagara Falls was enough to convince me that water is powerful and dangerous.

And then I surfed a couple times and it was two times too many for me.

Standing on a board and attempting to balance atop all that force forced me to accept the wonder of waves.

A wave is a mighty matter, both beautiful and terrifying.

But the wave is not a substance on its own.

The water’s been there all along.

A wave is just water that is hyper-focused, persistent, and efficacious.

A wave is just water triumphant.

We don’t need to be scared by the waves that jostle our lives … it’s just water moving us forward.

“And the men marveled, saying, ‘What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?’” talking about Jesus, Matthew 8:27
