Decision Fatigue
Decision fatigue is real.
And really fatiguing.
I have so many life-altering decisions on my plate that I can barely stomach the smaller ones.
I literally drove around for an hour today, with no preference or decisive power to choose a suitable lunch.
In the end, I pulled into a Domino’s parking lot with but a few minutes to spare before I had to be back at my home office.
“Do you have anything pre-made?” I asked, looking despondently at empty rack after empty rack.
“Nope,” the cashier responded.
The menu was enormous and loomed at me menacingly.
Perhaps sensing my desperation the cashier said,
“Well, we do have a half order of pasta that’s ready … but it’s been sitting there since this morning.”
“I’ll take it,” was all I said. I was starving and thrilled.
I paid, took my mystery pasta, and drove home.
The Lord always provides. Even when it’s day old Domino’s pasta.
