Fly & Live Forever

The trajectory of our technology reveals our obsession with flying.

Airplanes, spaceships, flying cars, and hoverboards.

It is in the heart of man to want to fly.

And you know what else lives firmly there?

The desire to live forever.

This is no accident.

It was on purpose.

To keep us from focusing on today’s joys or dying from yesterday’s heartache.

God put in our hearts the desire to live forever so that we would keep our eyes on Him as we skip, stroll, struggle and scrape our way through life in a broken world.

We desire to live forever and that’s exactly what all of us will do.

Live forever.

In Christ, we get to live forever in the presence of God. We thank God that we are in Christ. Because those not born again in Christ Jesus have an eternity separated from God ahead of them.

Let’s keep our eyes on eternity with God and who knows …

… maybe once there we’ll be able to fly, too.
