Known

Sharing stories with someone who knew me when I was who I once was is one of the secret pleasures of getting older.

Layer upon layer, old friends both watch you grow and understand the places you’ve been.

When time passes between meetings, there’s an unspoken gratitude for how you can pick up where you once upon a time left off.

The longer you know someone, the more likely you’ll be known.

And, oh to be so blessed, you might even be truly loved.

How much, then, do blessings abound because we are wholly known and absolutely loved in Christ Jesus.

“Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” Psalm 139:16
