What’s Passed is Past
The times have changed.
…but not really.
I still can’t google my memories.
Or rewind time.
Or forget the past.
The past invades my thoughts, though my memories aren’t always on point.
The good ol’ days are just as good as they ever were and ever will be.
There’s good to be found today, yesterday, and tomorrow.
And there’s plenty of bad to go around, too.
Let’s be careful we don’t immortalize our youth or remember it through rose-colored stained glass windows (Petra circa 1982).
What’s passed is past, slipping through the hourglass. Tomorrow may come. Or not.
Today alone is ours for the taking. Let’s give it to Him, instead.
“And Mary said, ‘Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” Luke 1:38, ESV.
