No Covid19 Here
The same virus that one-punch-knocked-out China is putting America down-for-the-count.
We feel the loss of the extravagances we’re being denied.
I know, I know … #firstworldproblems.
But we live in a first world country and these are our problems.
Pain is pain. Loss is loss. The things that cause pain don’t need to be equivalent in order for their pain to be equally felt.
And we’re in this first world country and these are our problems:
We miss meandering trips to Target, lunch breaks at Chili’s, and long afternoons in cozy cafes.
We miss a Google without warnings in red about a virus we can’t see.
We miss when face masks were weird and hospital beds sat empty.
And we miss when couch potatoing was a luxury.
But …
… covid19 isn’t everywhere.
It will not win.
Covid19 hasn’t hurt everything.
It hasn’t touched the flowers blooming in our back yards.
It can’t change the migration of the butterflies.
And we won’t let it devastate our faith in the goodness of God.
Hang in there.
Everything’s going to be ok.
“You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works.” Psalm 145: 16-17
