Teeny Tiny Left Knee
Dear Left Knee,
All these years you served me well.
You barely complained when I thrashed you day after day on the slopes. You felt the impact, but you supported my love of snowboarding.
You even kept your pain to yourself as I hit the pavement with nothing between you and the hard concrete but a thin pair of well-worn running shoes.
All my walking, dancing, jumping, running. All my always-on-the-go days. You hung in there like a champ.
So I can’t complain when you gave out last month.
All I can do is apologize and make plans to take better care of you in the future.
Thanks for your years of faithful service and I hope you’re able to return full-steam ahead before I know it.
Thank You, Lord, for my teeny tiny left knee.
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” Psalm 139:13-14
